YouPu Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2025.12.20

This Policy explains how YouPu handles privacy-related information.

Key statement: YouPu does not require account login, does not collect personal identity data, and does not upload your personal profile information to our servers.

1. Privacy Principles

YouPu follows a privacy-first, data-minimization, and local-by-default product design approach.

  • No account registration or login system is required.
  • We do not require your phone number, personal email, ID documents, or similar identity data.
  • We do not build user profiles for ad targeting or personalized ad tracking.

2. No-Login and Data Minimization

YouPu does not provide account signup or login flows.

We do not collect personally identifiable information and do not proactively upload your itinerary content, nickname, or avatar to our servers.

Unless legally required or provided by you voluntarily (for example, via support email), we do not maintain a dataset that identifies you as an individual.

3. Local Processing and On-Device Storage

To provide app functionality, certain content is stored locally on your device only (such as nickname, avatar, itinerary records, and display preferences).

  • Such data is used to support your experience on your current device.
  • We do not sync this local data to our remote database.
  • You can remove local content by deleting the app or clearing app data through the operating system.

4. Device Permissions

4.1 Photo Library Access (if granted)

When you actively choose a photo, the app uses the system photo picker. This permission is used only for actions initiated by you.

4.2 If permission is denied

If you deny photo access, image selection features may be unavailable, while core features such as policy viewing remain available.

5. In-App Purchase Notice

Paid transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. Payment processing, billing, and refund handling are governed by Apple's terms.

  • We do not directly access your bank card details.
  • Payment-related personal data is processed by Apple as an independent controller.

6. Security and Retention

We take reasonable measures to reduce data risk. Because YouPu primarily uses local processing, retention generally depends on your local device storage and system behavior.

If you delete the app or clear local data, relevant local content will no longer be retained within the app.

7. Your Rights

  • You have the right to understand how we handle privacy-related information.
  • You may deny or withdraw permissions through your device settings.
  • You may control data retention by uninstalling the app or clearing local content.
  • You may contact us to raise questions, complaints, or exercise rights under applicable law.

8. Multi-Region Compliance Statement

We take cross-region privacy compliance seriously and align with applicable principles in frameworks such as:

  • California, United States: Transparency and consumer rights principles reflected in CCPA/CPRA-related requirements.
  • Canada: Fair information practices under PIPEDA and relevant provincial rules.
  • Singapore: Lawful, reasonable, and transparent processing expectations under PDPA.
  • Australia: Applicable requirements under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

If local mandatory law provides a higher standard of protection, that standard prevails.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy when legal, regulatory, or product conditions change. The latest version and effective date will be published in-app.
